The 20th IEEE International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Systems (ICPAD 2014) was held in December 16-19, 2014, in Hsinchu, Taiwan province. Over 200 HPC researchers worldwide attended the conference.

Lin Gan, who is a PhD student from HPGC group, attended the conference and made two presentations. The first presentation was titled “Scaling and Analysing the Stencil Performance on Multi-Core and Many-Core Architectures”, and was to introduce our recent work on stencil study based on a set of different HPC platforms. The second talk was about accelerating the key HPCG kernel over Tianhe-2, the most powerful supercomputer in the world.

Established in 1992, ICPADS has been a major international forum for scientists, engineers, and users to exchange and share their experiences, new ideas, and latest research results on all aspects of parallel and distributed computing systems. It was the first time that HPGC had paper accepted by ICPADS conference.
